ALYSHA H. WRIGHT
Recruiter and Director of Administrative Affairs
Alysha has been with Abelson Legal Search since 2010 and handles associate attorney recruiting and the external human resource functions of the office. She works efficiently and expediently on the on-boarding processes for new, temporary and contract hire employees, making her the new hire "guru". Alysha's vast legal background and career experiences allow her to make connections with all members of the legal community. She knows what is involved in being a successful attorney or paralegal and draws upon her own legal career path to make valuable connections with the other members of the legal world. As a true communicator, Alysha utilizes her relatable people skills to listen to and speak with candidates to develop a true sense of what they want from their legal careers. She has authored "white papers" and articles for Abelson Legal Search in addition to hosting recruiting discussion groups for both new and seasoned paralegals.
A New York native, Alysha began her legal career as the Executive Assistant to the President and General Counsel of a boutique New York mortgage bank. From there, Alysha worked as a Real Estate Closing Coordinator for another large New York mortgage bank. She further honed her professional skills and increased her knowledge base regarding commercial and residential real estate transactions in this position. As a result of her exposure to and work in the law, Alysha moved into a Corporate Paralegal role for Weight Watchers International, Inc., where she was heavily involved in the company's IPO, in addition to overseeing SEC matters, online and print publications, and contract and co-pack branding responsibilities. Alysha's legal skills were readily transferrable, and, when she relocated to Bucks County from Long Island, she quickly found a position as a Trusts and Estates Paralegal at a prominent Bucks County firm.
Alysha received her Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University, where she majored in Social Science, with an emphasis on the behavioral sciences and sociology, with a minor in marketing, focusing her studies on consumer behavior and market research. Alysha also did graduate work at Dowling College. She resides in Bucks County with her husband and daughter and is involved with the Bucks County SPCA, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the OCRFA (Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance).
